Countdown to Christmas-Everything |
jennysulpizio writes, "Can you hear those sleigh bells jingling? Whether you are in denial or not, Christmas is right around the corner. We are talking less then 75 days until jolly old St. Nick makes his trip around the world and arrives at your door, down your chimney, or however else he gets into your house.
Are you ready?"

Well, if you ask me, Christmastime is more about the family and friends we spend it with and the true meaning of the holiday rather than the craziness we create because of it. Never-the-less, there is a lot to do and just a short amount of time to do it in. So how about getting a head start? How about planning right now?
You heard me right. There's no time like the present! In fact, let me do the planning for you. Check out the checklist below and use it for a template to make your holiday season stress-free, less chaotic, and a whole lot more enjoyable!
OCTOBER:
1) Family portraits: get them taken and start addressing Christmas cards.
2) Do you write a Christmas letter each year to send out? Start now!
3) Purchase your holiday wrappings right now. Hit up the dollar store for some sweet deals.
4) Have your kids make out their (tentative) Christmas lists for Santa.
NOVEMBER:
1) Prepare your list and start shopping. No need to wait until Black Friday. Deals are going on all of the time!
2) Plan out your holiday meals, and desserts down to the ingredient.
3) Get your calendars ready, babysitters booked and holiday festivities scheduled.
4) Plan on whooping it up? Get your holiday attire for you and the fam now!
5) Big on decorating/hostessing? Take inventory now and purchase what you need.
6) Start wrapping presents. It may seem early but once December hits, the days will zoom by.
7) Schedule events for the kids to partake in while they are off from break.
8) Got guests coming? Prepare immediately.
9) Christmas Lights - put up now BEFORE the rooftop ices over, then turn them on in December.
DECEMBER:
1) Start wrapping presents and decking your halls.
2) Mailing off presents? Do so no later than December 10th to save money and allow enough time to get there.
3) Mail out the Christmas cards.
4) Visit the big guy at the mall.
5) Bake.
6) ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY!!
By taking the time to prepare way in advance, the holiday season will be more relaxing and a whole lot more enjoyable as well. The clock is ticking...
